Protect patient dignity and confidentiality

Do not publish identifiable patient information, private records or material that could reasonably identify a patient. De-identification requires professional judgment; removing a name alone may not be sufficient.

Represent yourself accurately

State your profession, qualifications, experience and institutional affiliation honestly. Never imply verification, authority or institutional endorsement that you have not received.

Distinguish evidence from interpretation

Link to original research and state relevant uncertainty. Identify personal opinion, preliminary findings and limitations. Correct material errors transparently rather than silently replacing claims.

Disclose interests

Declare financial, commercial and relevant non-financial interests when discussing products, research, institutions or professional opportunities.

Respect the professional community

Treat all healthcare professions, students and career stages with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, threats and retaliation against good-faith reporting are incompatible with this code.

Exercise professional responsibility

Peer discussion supports professional learning. It does not replace applicable clinical responsibilities, local requirements or institutional escalation. Do not use the network for urgent patient decisions.

Built on professional integrity

Patient privacy, accurate credentials, evidence and respectful exchange are fundamental to SCALP3L. The network is exclusively for healthcare professionals and students.
